Who We Support

Alzheimer’s Disease and dementia

For individuals with Alzheimer’s disease, music therapy offers a powerful way to maintain connection, communication, and emotional expression. Familiar music can bring back long-term memories and create moments of clarity, recognition, and emotional response, even in the later stages of the disease. Our approach focuses on supporting cognition cognition, reducing agitation or “sundowning” clients present, and enhancing overall quality of life. Sessions are adapted to each person’s needs and preferences, helping them clients stay engaged while also providing meaningful emotional support to caregivers and family members.

Parkinson's Disease Therapy

We work with individuals living with Parkinson’s disease 1:1 and in online groups to support movement, speech, and overall neurological function through structured music-based interventions. Rhythm-based techniques can help improve gait, coordination, timing, and motor planning, while vocal exercises including singing support speech clarity and volume using breath control.
Each session is goal-oriented and designed to address specific motor and communication challenges. Music therapy provides a structured yet engaging approach that promotes independence, supports daily functioning, and helps individuals maintain confidence

stroke recovery

Neurologic Music Therapy plays an important role in stroke rehabilitation by engaging multiple areas of the brain involved in movement, speech, and cognition. Through targeted, evidence-based techniques, we help support the rebuilding of neural pathways affected by stroke.
Music therapy for stroke recovery may focus on improving motor skills, speech recovery, coordination, and cognitive function. Therapy is personalized to each stage of recovery and is designed to support both physical rehabilitation and emotional adjustment throughout the healing process.

Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI)

For individuals with mild cognitive impairment (MCI), early intervention is essential for maintaining cognitive health and independence. 1:1 and in online group Cognitive Stimulation Therapy provides structured cognitive stimulation that supports memory, attention, and executive functioning. Studies show that Cognitive Stimulation Therapy may help to slow the potential progression of mild cognitive impairment (MCI).
Our sessions are designed to be engaging, consistent, and mentally stimulating with the right amount of challenge. We focus on maintaining independence, strengthening cognitive skills, and supporting overall brain health through meaningful and goal-oriented therapeutic activities.
